ChatGPT’s Take on Sexuality in the Afterlife

A friend sent me this inspiring Instagram post by @solar_punks, where ChatGPT describes “a world where the power structures are reversed”. In its response, ChatGPT celebrates the value of emotional intelligence, the wisdom of children, the value of the elderly, and living in harmony with our environment.

Doing Much with Little

I’ve always found reading and reflecting to be my favorite way to connect with God, and so I’ve decided to study the life of Elijah in the Bible as a way to reconnect with my spiritual side. (It was a pretty arbitrary choice–I just needed something to study, and I don’t know Elijah’s story all that well!).

Our Decision to Separate

How we “Grew Apart”

Kate and I met in high school, when there were many things that we didn’t yet know about ourselves.

As we grew up together, we stayed compatible in many ways, and I think we were very good together. Especially early in our marriage, Kate helped me fill in many missing relational skills that weren’t demonstrated for me by my parents. We were also well aligned in our desires and values around domestic life, Christian community, children and parenting, and shared interests around TV, food, and travel.

Building Up to ENM

Our decision to become “Ethically Non-Monogamous” would be a huge shock to any of our friends who aren’t familiar with the backstory of how we came to make that giant leap.

Because we did make such an enormous transformation, I wanted to record and share the story of how this gradually came to be.

Advocating ENM

My ENM activity was uncovered recently by my church community.

I think a major concern around my continued belonging in that community is whether or not Kate or I intend to encourage other Christians towards ENM–to actively “recruit” or evangelize other Christians.

The short answer is “no, but we will offer information and support to anyone interested”.

She and I have landed in different places around ENM, so there’s a little more to say about it.
